ISO 9001 is an international standard that sets out requirements relating to quality management, applicable to any organization from all fields (privately or state, NGOs, administrative institution, etc.). ISO 9001 is based on seven principles of quality management: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, procedural approach, improved decision making on the basis of fact and mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders.
